Boxgrove Primary School Commemorates Remembrance Day with Two-Minute Silence
Pupils and staff at Boxgrove Primary School gathered in the school playground this morning to mark Remembrance Day with a respectful two-minute silence at 11am.
Children from all year groups stood quietly and reflected on the bravery of those who served in wars past and present. Teachers had spent the week helping pupils understand the meaning of Remembrance Day through stories and class discussions.
“It’s important for our children to learn about respect and remembrance in a way that’s meaningful to them” said Headteacher Mr Rae. “Today’s silence was a simple but powerful way to honour those who gave so much.” The event brought the whole school community together in a moment of peace and reflection
